So, what does it mean being the largest supplier of Thwaites dumper spare parts in the UK?

Well as the picture demonstrates when you get a weekly delivery of spare parts from Thwaites it means poor old Rich, along with his able assistant Tina when she’s not building Newage and Dana axles and gearboxes and Spicer and ITL transmissions for dumpers, is very very busy. As the largest supplier of Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac and Barford spare parts in the UK PES pride themselves on having the parts on the shelf, ready for next day delivery. We don’t accumulate orders until we have enough to do a stock order therefore keeping you waiting days for your parts, we invest in stock so we can keep your machine son site, working and earning you money.

So, all these boxes have to be unpacked and all the Thwaites dumper parts booked in and put in their respective location. How hard is that you may ask? The problem is as fast as the Thwaites dumper parts are being put on the shelf they are being picked, packed and sent on their merry travels all round the world. It’s a relentless circle as when you have over 100 packages going out a day and sell close to £400k worth of parts going out every month (except December) Rich only has time for the occasional roll-up and then he’s at in again!!!! Unpack/put away followed by pick/pack and despatch.

As he came here as a temporary job nearly 30 years ago he’s not doing too bad, in fact it was only the other day I heard Marc the Parts Manager telling him he’s passed his probation period and we are going to keep him on!!  How very generous I thought, all heart.

So the next time you order your Thwaites part from PES, stop, think and give a little silent thank-you to Rich and Tina as without these unsung heroes your machine would be parked up on-site waiting days for your spare part. And remember those boxes were only Thwaites parts, nearly the same amount arrives from suppliers for Terex, Terex/JCB and Mecalac as well, the only saving grace is Barford parts are in slow decline and therefore less boxes arrive every week for them!!!!
