As with most new machinery dealers, PES sell good used mini-diggers and dumpers as well as new Volvo mini-diggers and Thwaites dumpers. The majority of used mini-diggers and used dumpers come from part exchanges that have been made against new items of equipment, for example a customer has purchased a new Volvo ECR25D and has part exchanged his old Volvo ECR25D. The good thing about that is that as we don’t normally sell Volvo mini-diggers to hire companies
who prefer to buy the slower, less powerful grey coloured machines as the majority of our customers are owner-drivers who are proper operators rather than lever-pullers. This means our good used mini-diggers and used dumpers aren’t ex-hire fleet machines which have been thrashed and abused to death and, in the case of mini-diggers, then disposed of just before all the remaining grey turns to rust and tend to be well looked after.
Currently at PES we have a range of good used mini-diggers, the majority of which are under 3 tonne and to suit a range of budgets and are primarily Volvo badged such as Volvo EC27C, Volvo EC27D and Volvo ECR25D. We even have a 2021 Luigong 1.5 tonne ex-12 month lease machine which on inspection appears to be an exceptionally well-engineered excavator and not the ‘cheap Chinese rubbish’ you would expect.
All our used mini-diggers and used dumpers have been inspected and then gone through our workshop, anything that comes back in part exchange that is not suitable for sale goes straight on the low loader and off to auction. This means that although you are buying a used mini-digger or a used dumper from PES and it won’t be the same as buying a new one at least you won’t be buying a ‘polished turd’.
