I recently made the short flight accross to the Channel Islands to catch up with customers both old and new. We have been supplying equipment to users on the Channel Islands now for around 17 years and I always receive a nice warm welcome when visiting to commission new machines or just say hello.
As the pictures show I caught up with Jeremy Philips, contracts manager at Barette Plant Hire and saw their recently purchased Volvo EC60E machine working on a small site. Barette Plant Hire is one of the largest plant hire contractors in Jersey. It was established in 1991 and still run by Fred Barette, the company has grown and diversified to meet their customers requirements.
The Volvo EC60E replaces the older EC55C which was always a very popular machine with professional operators and you can understand why when you use it;
: Great Power and very smooth operation with a tear out force of 28.8 Kn
and a breakout force of 43.3 kN
: The 5.8 ton machine has a Spacious cab with air con, auto idle, built in anti theft device, radio, 2 speed tracking, attachment pipe work, hose rupture valves on boom and dipper, electric refuelling pump and much more.
Many thanks to all at Barette Plant Hire for their continued business and everyone who gives me the time of day when I fly over……Thankyou!
