I know its been a while but as from mid-August PES will have replacement Yanmar 3TNV70 engines for the Yanmar 3TNV70-AJUV and Yanmar 3TNV70-BJUV fitted to the John Deere Gator engines back in stock, on the shelf ready for next day delivery.
These engines have been on order since February and, luckily for us, they have arrived earlier than anticipated as engine supply chains have stretched out to upwards to 9 months from order placement.
We have 20 Yanmar 3TNV70 engines on back order to fit the John Deere Gator and have 8 arriving mid-August. The bad news is that 5 of these are already sold leaving 3 left until the balance arrive. There should be another 12 Yanmar 3TNV70 engines arriving end of September beginning of October but if you need one before that you better get your skates on and order one from the largest Yanmar dealer in the UK.
Please be aware that the Yanmar 3TNV70 fitted in the John Deere Gator has a unique timing cover on, if you’re offered one please check that it doesn’t have a PTO aperture on the timing cover as it won’t fit and to do a front engine change involves taking the camshaft out. This takes PES Engineers a good day’s work to do and if you don’t do it right when you go to start it you bend the conrods and cylinder head valves.
