As the largest supplier of Thwaites, Terex/Mecalac and Barford dumper parts in the UK PES have always kept in excess of £750,000 worth of dumper parts on the shelf, ready for next day delivery. It seems as with everything else at the moment, manufacturers and supply chains are experiencing shortages and difficultly in sourcing components and therefore that has started to filter down to PES with lead times stretching out and delays being experienced. With the current ‘boom’ levels of activity in the construction industry, an industry that hasn’t really been disrupted previously too badly by Covid, the shortages have created a perfect storm with unprecedented levels of demand coupled with componentry shortages.
With this in mind PES have invested in increased levels of stock when it becomes available to enable us to keep your Thwaites, Terex/Mecalac and Barford dumpers on site working. For instance, 40 genuine Thwaites seats recently became available in addition to our normal monthly order so we snapped them up, brought them to Devon and we now have in excess of 100 dumper seats available. The same for Mecalac, we purchased every single headlight unit they had, brought them to Devon and they are now sat on the shelf ready for delivery.
It’s not perfect and we can only buy what’s available but hopefully you can have confidence in our ability and commitment to continue being the largest Thwaites, Terex/Mecalac and Barford stockist and supplier of dumper parts in the UK and keep your dumpers on site working.
