So here we have the largest supplier of Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB and Barford parts in the UK, normally known as Plant & Engineering Services Ltd, out in Exeter having a few cheeky beers……………. well quite a few cheeky beers, celebrating the end of another successful year and enjoying a bite to eat and some pulling some pretty outrageous moves on the dance floor via the medium of alcohol. Let’s face it, everybody thinks they’re John Travolta or Olivia Newton-John when they’ve had a skin full.
A big thank-you to all our employees, sometimes it’s hard to appreciate that £4 million pounds worth of dumper parts go through three people that are sat on the table (not forgetting the one that couldn’t make it), £3.5 million pounds of equipment through two people and £500k of workshop jobs through three people. A staggering amount of money and a staggering amount of hard work. Let’s not forget the two part-time accounts girls who collect and pay out the money, a back-office function that is frequently forgotten but without which things would not run as smooth as they do.
Mustn’t forget Mel and Jim either. The place runs soooo much better when they’re not there which is why all the employees clubbed together and bought them a 2 man kayak for a round the world trip we’ve always wanted to send them on.
