For well over two decades PES have been the largest stockists and suppliers of Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac and Barford dumper parts in the UK with unparalleled levels of knowledge that has kept Britain’s dumpers on-site and working. Within the last few years we joined the 21st century and have invested in an on-line shop selling all our Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac parts with industry leading real-time stock information so you know if we have the part in stock when you order it. This is different to other on-line shops where you order it and when it doesn’t arrive several days later you find its on backorder.
As well as dumper parts PES are also the largest suppliers of Yanmar TNV engines with over 100 Yanmar engines in stock ready for next day delivery. We also supply Yanmar parts for both Yanmar TNV and Yanmar L series engines. Our Parts Manager Marc decided that if we sell engines and we sell engine parts why don’t we add the parts to our on-line shop, which means after a hard days work you can get in the bath with your Mr Matey bubble bath and Devon Red cider and order all the parts for the Yanmar engine you’re going to repair whilst having a nice soak. At this point I must point out that other bubble baths are available and for all those non west-country people who don’t drink cider you can have a lager, bitter or a nice cup of tea but why you wouldn’t take the opportunity to drink the world’s best cider I’ll never know!!! Mind you, if Kier ‘sausage return’ Starmer gets his way he’s going to close all the pubs early so you’ll have no where to drink anyway, unless you’re in the Directors Box at Arsenal, your multi-million pound chums apartment in New York or having a quick snifter in the tailors whilst you’re getting measured up for your free suit you rich chum’s giving you. Love politicians. We’re all equal except some our more equal than others!!!
Getting back to Yanmar parts. So, we’ve (that’s the royal we, I mean Marc) started off putting the Yanmar engine parts for the engines that are fitted to Thwaites dumpers first as that seems the most logical thing to do. This means the Yanmar 3TNV76 fitted to the Thwaites 1 tonne dumper and the Yanmar 3TNV88 fitted to the Thwaites 3 tonne dumper will go live first followed by other popular Yanmar models that are fitted to other items of construction equipment.
Being a parts specialist means we know the meaning of value and therefore, where appropriate, are able to offer non-genuine parts where we think they offer better value for money than the genuine Yanmar parts. For example, we would recommend that genuine headgaskets, piston rings, pistons and crankshaft bearings are always used as these are technical parts that, if fail, are going to cost you a lot of money and could cause significant damage. Do you really want a bearing that is made out of questionable material supporting your crankshaft that is turning over 2500 rpm? I think not. However when it comes to an item such as a water pump which bolts on the outside, consists of a housing, a shaft c/w impellor and a seal and is reasonable easy to replace if the seal leaks would you rather pay £733.97 for a genuine Yanmar one or £125 for a non-genuine.
Of course, it’s up to the individual to decide what level of cost versus quality they require so we’ll offer you a choice where we can. After all, if you had a standby genset that did 50 hours a year and wasn’t critical versus a generator that powered freezers that if failed would cost you an arm and a leg it’s a different set of cost/quality criteria that would shape your purchasing decision.
Look out for the new section of Yanmar engine parts on the on-line shop, it will grow over the coming months.
In today’s ‘sue the arse off anybody culture’ I’ll just put a little disclaimer in. If you’re planning to order your Yanmar parts whilst having a Mr Matey infused bath, please test the temperature of the water before you get in……………we don’t want you scalding your bum.
