Here at PES, the largest supplier of Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac and Barford dumper parts in the UK, we have always been at the cutting edge of technology when it comes to ensuring that our customers get their correct dumper parts delivered on time every time.
With this in mind we have fully embraced artificial intelligence and we are now a fully automated system. Whereas before if you rang or e-mailed PES for your Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac or Barford dumper spare parts either Marc, David, Jason or occasionally Richard would answer your query and get the right part sent out, we have now made them all redundant and are now a fully digital, AI led service. The cunning thing is we programmed the AI generated computer programme so that the voice you hear sounds like Marc, Dave, Jason or Richard and you can’t tell the difference. You think you are talking to them and what you are actually doing is talking to a computer chatbot!!!
As a customer if you think this sounds like a future vision of hell, don’t worry, it’s not true. As the largest supplier of Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac and Barford dumper parts we rely on Marc, David, Jason and Richard’s knowledge and expertise and the good old fashioned ‘supply chain philosophy’ of know what you’re talking about, invest heavily, stock the parts, don’t lie, and get the parts out quickly. We’re not perfect by any means, after all we are human but we strive to be better every day.
On the plus side of AI, having a chatbot would save a few quid as we wouldn’t need to have a Christmas party, although it would be pretty boring sitting next to a computer that doesn’t drink and thinks its better than everybody else.
So, whilst we embrace technology to make our life easier, after all how can you supply close to £400k worth of parts every month with three people and one in the stores without it, it will never replace human knowledge and experience. That’s why we are the biggest supplier and stockists of Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac and Barford in the UK and intend never to let somebody else take that accolade.
