It looks like 2022 is going to be like 2021 for PES in terms of the supply of machinery with the impact of the pandemic and the general shortage of components still problematic. In 2021 we had the perfect storm with high levels of demand coupled with low levels of supply with the impact of the global pandemic having a tremendous impact not only of the limited supply chain availability but the inflationary pressures on prices caused by it.
Although we are the largest supplier of Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac and Barford dumper parts in the country we also have a thriving new machinery sales business supplying Volvo compact excavators, Thwaites site dumpers, Epiroc and Augertorque hydraulic attachments and Merlo telehandlers in the West Country and Channel Islands.
By the Easter of 2021 we had sold all our availability of Volvo excavators for the year and having ordered and received our allocation of machinery recently we have already sold all the Volvo ECR58F, Volvo EC60E and Volvo ECR88D excavators available for 2022 already and the 1.8 tonne Volvo EC18E and 2.5 tonne Volvo ECR25D are selling quicker than warm hot cross buns on a cold Good Friday.
